Clarence Darrow (left) defended John Scopes in the trial. More importantly, Darrow used the trial as a way to attack fundamentalism. William Jennings Bryan (right) ran for president numerous times, served as the lead prosecutor and defender of traditional values and the belief that what is in the Bible is the literal truth.
