DUAL: 1920s Slang assignment (extra credit)

Against all better judgement I’m offering up a chance to display some creative flare using this list of slang terms from the 1920s. Feel free to look up others.

Your assignment: Finish this opening. “It was just after 9 when John pulled up outside Dorothy’s house.”

NOTE: John and Dorothy were popular names of the 20s. I know how to use Google.

20s slang terms

NOTE: If you really want to impress, tell the story “in medias res,” which is a learned way of saying start somewhere besides the beginning, perhaps at the end and use some well-told flashbacks.
